Angels are a very real part of the spirit realm. They are constantly functioning on your behalf fighting and warring for you to be victorious and overcome. I want you to have a full comprehensive understanding of what they do. Below is a list of 24 functions of angels found in the bible!
In my life and ministry I have often experienced angelic activity. I have encountered angels of fire that have brought the tangible fire and glory of God. I have heard angels speak and listened in on their conversations while I was in prayer. I have encountered great breakthrough angels, guardian angels, angels of revival, angels of miracles and more!
ANGELS BRING BREAKTHROUGH AND DELIVERANCE
I remember there was a time in Bible College when I was going through a hard time. I was in the cafeteria and turned to a friend and said, “I’m sinking down. I don’t know if I’m going to be able to break through this.” They said, “Let’s pray.” So we grabbed hands and began to pray. The moment we began to pray I felt a glorious presence on all four sides of me. I felt angels all around me, front, back, and sides. As they surrounded me I could physically feel them on my body. I fell to my knees and worshipped God. Within ten minutes I was gloriously filled and refreshed by the Holy Spirit. I got a total breakthrough and release!
The Lord will commission angels on your behalf. There will be times God will send angels to minister to you. If you are sensitive to it, you will be aware of it. When Jesus was in the garden during His time of testing He was ministered to by the angels. (Lk 22:41-43) After His days of testing in the wilderness angels came and ministered to Him as well. (Mt 4:11)
UNDERSTANDING THE BIBLICAL FUNCTIONS OF ANGELS
Angels have many functions in scripture. Some of those functions include:
They are sent by God to assist those who will inherit salvation. (Heb 1:14)
They can help minister cleansing and purging. (Isa 6:6-7)
They can assist in the healing ministry. (John 5:4)
They can help bring breakthrough and deliverance. (Acts 5:19, Psa 34:7, Acts 12:7)
They can help bring guidance and direction. (Acts 5:20, Acts 8:26)
They can be used by God to administer judgement. (Acts 12:23)
They can bring prophetic direction and assurance in a difficult situation. (Acts 27:23-24)
They can bring divine protection from evil and danger. (Psa 91:11)
The can minister strength to you. (Luke 22:43, Mt 4:11)
They hearken to the voice of God’s word. (Psa 103:20)
They can deliver a word or message from God. (Mt 1:20, Luke 1:13, Rev 1:1)
They can appear in dreams. (Mt 2:13)
They will separate the wicked from the righteous. (Mt 13:49)
They will gather the elect together at the end of the age. (Mt 24:30-32)
They have names. (Luke 1:19)
They can appear in visions. (Acts 10:3)
They rejoice when someone repents of sin. (Luke 15:10)
They delivered the Law. (Acts 7:53, Gal 3:19, Heb 2:2)
They have their own language. (1 Cor 13:1)
True angels will not contradict the gospel of Jesus Christ. (Gal 1:8)
They worship God. (Heb 1:6)
They are described as winds and flames of fire. (Heb 1:7)
They can manifest in human form. (Heb 13:2)
They are subservient to Jesus. (1 Pet 3:22)
