Does God Want to Heal You?

One of the biggest questions I hear regarding healing ministry is “How do I know it’s God’s will to heal me?”

And it’s a very legitimate question! We all know God has the POWER to heal. He’s God. He can do anything He wants to. He’s all powerful. He created the universe, the earth and everything in it. It’s not a question whether God has the power to heal.

The question is…does He have the WILL to heal. Does He want to heal YOU?

There was a time I had injured my shoulder and couldn’t lift my arm. It was so painful. I was ministering in a healing meeting. As I slightly lifted my hand towards people they were getting healed by God. By my arm was injured. I thought to God, “It would be so great if You healed my arm.” I paused for a moment in worship. As I worshipped God, I felt His overwhelming love flood my soul. I thought, “Oh God, You really LOVE me!” It’s one thing to know it in your mind, it’s another thing to experience it in a tangible way.

The moment this divine love flooded my heart, my faith skyrocketed. I thought, “God if you love me this much, surely You WANT to heal me!” In that moment I lifted my arm and all the pain disappeared. I was instantly healed.

In order to have faith for healing, you need to know God’s heart for you. Remember when the leper came to Jesus and said, “Lord if you are willing, make me clean.” And Jesus said, I am WILLING, be made whole.” And the leper was healed. The leper knew Jesus had the power to heal him, but he wasn’t sure of His will. Jesus answered his question and said, “I am willing.”

Jesus was the exact image of the Father. His words, actions and life show the heart of God perfectly. If Jesus was willing to heal the leper, He wills to heal you as well. He has the heart and will to heal.
